Hello from Northumberland.
Hi,
Iam new to this site and also to adventure touring. I`ve been riding bikes since I was 4 when my dad started me out on a montesa 25c that he made a side car for (at least I could only fall one way then!). Have been hooked ever since then. Iam a regular at the enduro circuit and do all the scottish championship rounds and the welsh 2 day etc... Just got into the Adventure touring side of things this year and have bought a xtz 660. Myself and my wife Gill are planning a trip around the Baltic`s in june/july next year and have found the Hubb a wealth of information!
I have Driving experience abroad with my lorry but never with a bike. Have driven in Russia/ St`peterburg and found that somthing different! (was fine out side the city though). Looking forward to getting started and reading through more pages in the Hubb.
Cheers, Gavin Douglas.

Well Hello Brian.
Tried to send you a private message there but was not allowed until I have posted at least 8 messages. I hear you have a KTM 640 Adventurer now. if you're ever up the Chatton way be sure to call in. Just let me know if your about.
That would be good to go out trail riding sometime!
Cheers.

Hi Gavin
Welcome! We are having a mini meet near Dumfries in a couple of weeks time (27/28 October see seperate thread 5th northern/south west scotland mini meet ) which you are welcome to come along to (you'll need a tent, etc) - you'll meet a load of people who have been all over the place on/in various modes of transport and they are all happy & willing to share their experiences with us lesser travelled folks. We've only done a couple of short trips to Europe but are building up to 'the big one' and they have been a great source of info to us so far (as has the HUBB). Brian E has also said he'll try and be there.
Hope to see you there
Debz

Hi Debz,
Thank you for the welcome! I will try to be there sounds like it will be good fun.
Trying to get my panniers fitted to the bike and fit in the last round of the Scottish enduros, so if its at the end of the month then that will give me plenty of time to get them sorted for the meet.
Hope to meet you there.
Cheers Gav.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
