Hello from Germany!
Hello to you all from southern Germany, someplace between Heidelberg and the northern Black Forest!
Due to some events in my closer past I decided to do more for myself and travel more ... the way I like it, which is .... simple.
Looking forward to learn and contribute!

Thanks again guys, for welcome!
BCK, I am probably already in the old fart category. I was an avid backpacker back then in the eighties. My last adventure trip was in 1991, travelling three weeks in Namibia by bicycle. It was then when I decided to marry my then GF, now wife. Travelling was never the same ...
But I built a house, raised three kids, payed the mortgage, still running my own business and financially supporting my parents. That´s more adventure than I ever dreamed of.
This is exactly my friend, why I am now looking forward to go on solo trips of any kind again. Because I freaking deserve it!

Welcome
Hi Pete,
Just in case, you ever make it to WA, get in touch. Your story is very similar to many of us. Done something early in life, got married, kids and mortgage and being successful, but time is slowly running out. So we make a bucket list. But there are many obstacles to overcome. Wish you luck.

Welcome to HUBB.
Generally talking!!!
Similar story for most of us but still it is not too late as long as you have good health to do it.Needs never end even our lives end.Time or money is nomore important because:
THE TOP 5 REGRETS PEOPLE HAVE AND ADMIT JUST BEFORE DEATH.
Reported by Intensive Care Unit of a Hospital Survey
1-I wish I could realise my dreams.
2-I wish I didn't work that much.
3-I wish I could be able to continue keeping in touch with friends.
4-I wish I would permit myself to be more happy.
5-I wish I could be able to explain my real feelings.
So don't keep your dreams stay inside unrealised while you have the health to do it.Uncompleted dream is like a virus and stay interrupting your soul until its done.
Wish you all the best.

New to Horizons Unlimited?
New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!
Horizons Unlimited was founded in 1997 by Grant and Susan Johnson following their journey around the world on a BMW R80G/S.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
