Hello from İstanbul, Turkey

Hello everybody,

I'm from Istanbul, an IT guy. For 8 years i've been riding. And for the last 2 years I'm giving lessons on advanced and safe riding. I have an IAM Observer certificate and teaching the english roadcraft system to people. And also I'm an ADAC Control Trainer.

I had many bikes, mainly enduro models and scooter. One for travelling and one for commuting in heavy Istanbul traffic.

6 months ago, me and my girlfriend who is also an advanced rider, decided to go on a world tour. We are selling our big bikes to make money and bought one yamaha ybr 125 and the second one is on the way for this world trip.

For many years i've been following HU but I was just a follower. Now I'm in the game and decided to create an account and be a part of this beautiful community

Also I've type 1 diabetes and this world trip will be another challenge just because of this situation.

Thanks for your patience for reading my long intro.

Hello again

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
