Hello and welcome to the board!
Yes, I've been to Greece, but I only crossed it in August 2008 while riding to Turkey, Syria and Jordan.

Hello and Welcome
I've been to Greece but only crossing as well. In fact I (well actually we, my girlfriend and I) had one of the best experiences in Europe whilst in Northern Greece.
We were riding near the Bulgarian border and stopped for lunch at the only restaurant we could find that was open in the tiny town of probably no more than a few hundred people. I ordered way too much to eat as I was very hungry and glad to get out of the midday heat. The food was fantastic and the people very nice. When I went to pay the waiter/owner didn't accept my money! He just asked if we were from Australia and we said yes (we were on our GS with NSW number plates) and he said: "Welcome to Greece, it is the least I can do."
We were both very humbled by the generosity even if it was only a big lunch for two it was very unexpected of him but much appreciated. It's a great country.
We will go back to Greece and we will take the small roads away from the hoards of tourists.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
