Introduction
I'm a retired guy, single and have always loved living on the edge...bought my first motorcycle (Suzuki DL 650) in 2006 after a trip to Alaska where I met people from all over the Northern Hemisphere and many of them were seeing that country on motorcycle...something that had never crossed my mind but I knew then that I wanted to try it....it just seemed to be what I was looking for. I now own a Triumph Tiger 800 XC 2012 and plan to leave Lower Alabama in June 2012 and heading for the Arctic Circle and returning and if I still have the bug it will be off to South America. I have always ridden solo....hooking up with others for a few days and splitting and going our separate ways...did a 7000 mile solo trip through New England in early fall of 2011 and had a wonderful time...I rode with several different groups and other solos during this trip. I am here to learn from people who have been there and done that....glad to be here and look forward to seeing you in our journeys. Johnny

and I envy you with the new Tiger. Riding up to the Arctic Circle is spectacular and yes, you will meet a ton of riders along the way as there is such a small window to make that ride comfortably. I'm sure once that is done, you will definitely be heading south as well.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
