You wont find dedicated synthetic motorcycle oil in all the countries in West Africa, but you will in a few of them, what bike are you riding?
I had to use Castrol car oil in Bolivia, if your bike has a wet clutch it will be fine as long as the oil does not have friction modifiers, if the container says 'energy saving' or something similar then it should not be used with a wet clutch.
They are a pain to carry, but if your bike is very fussy with oil (KTM's are) then carry a couple of litres with you as you head North of Namibia.
