Scotland here
Hi,
Just stumbled across the HUBB yesterday. I'm in Scotland and so far my biking travels have all been here although I do keep saying I'll do Europe. I'm hoping this site can help with that.
I ride an aging Kawasaki KLR650 that I keep threatening to replace, but can't quite bring myself to get rid of it.
Aside from biking, another interest is photography - two pursuits that work quite well together as it happens, so a few snaps from my travels can be found here: Frogwell.com Gallery
All a bit chocolate boxy I'm afraid, I keep meaning to put more effort into the photography to make it more interesting and original, but I never quite get round to it.
Anyway, hello all
Cheers,
Mark

Hello Frogwell!
You'll find a lot of keen snappers on here, goes with the travelling I think! An effort to take some of the enjoyment of being in a place home with you? Your biking travels may be limited to Scotland as yet but in my experience Scotland has some superb biking by anyone's standards!
You'll find this is a pretty helpful site, most people are so keen to talk about their obsession they'll tell the same stories/give the same advice many times over, but using the search option is a good thing to do because some questions have been asked a LOT!
Enjoy the worlds best motorcycle travelling site!
Matt

Welcome to HUBB too. I'm in a similar boat. Did licence 2 years ago (almost to the day) before a year's volunteering and backpacking (non bike) and so that I'd know what to do on a bike in Asia. Hired a few in Asia for the odd day, and only just got back to 'reality'....so had to buy a VStrom to make my job more interesting (ok, the commute).
First decent trip to the Hebrides at end of July (based in Edinburgh) and only a couple of overnighters so far.... maybe the next time I travel it'll be on a bike, but loads to learn!! Heading to the HU meet in the peak next month though which I'm looking forward to. Only problem is I'll want to head off into the sunset straight afterwards....and my bank 'balance' won't let me yet!
Also love photography too...
Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
