tis about time i said HELLO

Hi all,

Been lurking here for about 2 years and find this site the best for advice and info.

Im 45 ex squaddie (now a cadet instructor) it must be the thing about the uniform lol.

Heres the reason ive been lurking..... I ride a 1500 Suzuki Intruder, I do intend on getting a smaller bike ie vstrom or the new BMW650gs in the future.

Currently planning a trip to Finland for next June (last year our custom club went to Sweden and it was Fantastic !!).

So Im sure I will have a few more questions in the future

Cheers
Will

Oh, there have to be a few more than that from the UK; probably in double figures at least!

to the HUBB will....... No need to be shy! Us lot certainly arent! and if you've been a "lurker" for 2 years ( how did you stand it not being able to post comments?) you will realise that its not WHAT you ride, just that you do RIDE! ( or 4WD in the case of the 4WD brigade) we aint proud. all are welcome!

I am not from Newcastle but the brown ale will do for me.
Try a V-Strom you might like it, I have the 650, used to have 1500 Goldwing and a Magna 750.
Cheers

New to Horizons Unlimited?

New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!

Horizons Unlimited was founded in 1997 by Grant and Susan Johnson following their journey around the world on a BMW R80G/S.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
