Why Can't I Post?
If you have this question, then please note that to be able to post in the HUBB forums you first need to register. To do this, please go here:
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/user/register
Be sure you use a valid email address to register. you must activate your account with the information in an activation email you will receive at your registered email address.
Also please make sure you have activated your forum account by clicking on the link in the activation email after registering or changing your email address. You will not be able to post until you activate your account.
And finally, when you make these changes the effect is not immediate. It takes up to an hour for the system to update your status.
If you have done all this and still have problems, then please go to the Feedback page and let me know this info:
- your forum user name
- the email address you registered with
and let us know what happened and we'll sort you out asap.

This may or may not be effective when you come to the site:
Every once in a while we get hit hard by spammers and hackers, so we go into "lockdown mode" which means that all new users must as usual do the email activation thing as noted above, BUT then they are NOT automatically ok to post as normal - I have to approve their registration.
If they look like spammers they're deleted. AND their ip address is banned. If the new registration is clearly ok, then I approve - if I'm not sure because the info supplied is insufficient or unclear, then they become a "Moderated User" - which means I have to then approve their posts before they are visible.
Needless to say I can't do this in minutes, I do it in batches, and I like to sleep - I'm on GMT+8 normally, so work out when I might be asleep and please be patient!
Sorry for the hassle, but if you saw the amount of time I waste on spammers you'd understand. This sucks, but it's better than the alternative.

Posting
Hello
I have registered however am still unable to find where I post. I want to post the following post but can't find where to do it.
Please advise
Brett
I am looking to ship my Kawasaki KLR 650 Motorcycle from Panama to Taiwan around the end of December early January.
Can anyone tell me of a reliable company that provides such a service.
I'm also interested in finding out the cost and import details, so if anyone has any info they can pass on that would be great.

This kind of question is dealt with by the data base type thing ...
Look at
Shipping the Bike | Horizons Unlimited
this is part of the blue bar thingys towards the top of the page .. you should go through these as they have a lot of information .. unfortunately only one shipment listed from American (north - none in the south) to Asia...
You may try asking on http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ca-and-mexico/ but the info should really be on the shipping page.

Welcome to the HUBB. While Warin's suggestion is a good place to start, the place to post your query is here: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/trip-transport/ . If you're logged in, a New Thread box will appear at the top left of the forum. Click that box and do what comes naturally.
It's a bit confusing, since on the full list of HUBB forums the link to the shipping forum takes you elsewhere. Or maybe that's just me.
Hope that's helpful.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
