delhi/manali to leh on bike and fly back...

Hello All,

Is there any arrangement in delhi or manali by the bike rentals where i could ride from delhi/manali to leh and take a flight back to delhi? If so, how much extra would it cost for the service in the mid of August?

Regards,
Tarun Shetty.

hi,
i was on that track last september with my own bike ( an Harley...)
i meet a lot of people in Leh were riding enfield and leave from delhi.
in your case, i think you should to considerate to BUY a used bike in Delhi
and sell it once you'll reach leh if you plan to fly back. otherwise you can also continue the trip ( heavy suggested!!) to sri nagar in kashmir, and ride back to delhi through jammu and amritsar. the whole circle route it should
be about 2200-2300km. probably it will be a sort of torture, but you can't miss it. anyway try to contact lalli singh in delhi, lallisingh [AATT] vsnl [DDOOTT] com he
rent and sell enfields, may you could find out the right solution in his own micro garage. what else? you can of course have a look on my website, it is in Italian, but pictures are titled in english. you'll see incredible places.
have a nice trip!

Well, the rental works in this way, in delhi they want your copy of your passport and your return ticket OR the entire value of the bike as deposit.

I am not too sure about manali but im gonna ring some people and ask for you

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
