India to UK on and Enfield
Hi, anther Newbie here,
I am currently planning a trip from India to London.
There are 2-3 of us doing this trip and planning on leaving early next year ( i know its a long time away but work and the rest)
anyway we are looking at going via Pakastan Iran Turkey then anyway which way through Europe.
If anyone has done this trip it would be great to get some advice. We are traveling on Enfield Thunderbirds all 2005 models and newer.
How easy is it to take bikes across borders? i was imagining that into pakastan, Iran and Turkey would be the hardest as once you get into the EU then the border crossings are easyer? is this right?
Do we need a carne? are theses expensive?
And what are the chances if any of getting the Tbird regestered in the UK?
Anyway if anyone has done parts or all of this trip i would love to hear about it and any advice you have, ie what spair parts you recomend taking and the likes.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you
Henry

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
