Hi! I lived in Jakarta, Indonesia. I love to visit Bali (like everyone does)! If you wanted to visit Bali, you should go to Seminyak and Uluwatu area(there are lots of cool places there)

And if you want to try some water sports, you can go to
Tanjung Benoa, Nusa Dua. I tried parasailing once. it was great!

And you should try Nuri's Ribs (BEST PORK RIBS in Bali!), and there's one small place called Eatwell near the beach, that has good food with very affordable price

there are lot of beautiful and affordable villa in bali that sometimes will cost less than a hotel (depends on how many people in your group). I stayed at Astana Kunti Villa. it such a nice place to stay! (for my experience). or if you want some suggestion for the villa, check @balivilla on Instagram

If you have more time, you should visit Nusa Ceningan, it's on Lembongan, small island near Bali, it is absolutely heaven! quiet place with beautiful beach! stay at Le Pirate Beach Club. i think it will only cost you around $40/night. but definitely worth the experience(and absolutely the view!)
And my tips for you, it's better to rent a car then take a taxi because some of the taxi drivers may fool you and will cost you a lot.

If you want to visit Jakarta, around 1-2hours flight from Bali. You can go to some Museum in Central Jakarta. For some Culinary experience, try this places:
at Grand Indonesia Shopping Town
-Social House
-Skye (you can see Jakarta's view from 56th floor rooftop)!
-Publik Markette

But if I may warn you, traffic in Jakarta could be very crazyy,like really crazy! it will make you stressed out.
