Everything is done. I'm just waiting here in Dili a new Indonesian visa. Kathryn Bay was in the harbor this morning and it's already gone. I saw the vessel and I missed it. Hope they will come back two weeks later.
What is a great guy this Dave from Darwin! Thank you again!

Check the local sailing community maybe you could get passage and sail across rather than go back to Indonesia ?

Has anyone out there done this? I'll be looking to make this crossing in June. Maybe we could get a group together?
Seems like there would be a market for this like the Stahlratte boat in Panama/Columbia.

I met the guy in Backpackers Hostel Dili. Hi is a captain of 15th meters concrete yacht. I've been talking to him about sail the bike to Darwin. I actually did it once in Portobello Panama to Cartajena Kolombia. 15 meters boat can takes on board 2 normal size bikes and 4 people besides crew. So he is agree with me. Try to check forums on desperatesilor.com floatplan.com crewfinder.com
Boat "Liberty"
The name of captain is Gerd (Swiss)

As for me I've got an answer from Toll this morning. Here is a last updates. I hope they go on it like this.
Kathryn Bay V.151 SIN ETD 03-04-2014
DIL ETA 08-04-2014
ETD 10-04-2014
DAR ETA 12-04-2014
p.S. If skips happening you may pay 100% bill of Toll, strap the bike inside a container in Toll warehouse, obtain a new Indonesian visa in Dili (takes 3 w days) and go back to Flores, Lombok or Bali and next direct flight Denpasar - Darwin. The ticket price for 1 bus to Kupang, 1-2 flight in Indonesia + Darwin is cheaper or the same price like you take a direct flight Dili-Darwin. Hope it helps.

Finding a yacht is not impossible, if you can find one sailing from Dili to Darwin look into it, if there is a yacht passing through that can collect you from Dili and take you to Darwin look at that also, sailing from Dili to Darwin would be a great experience but it's still the monsoon season and I'd guess very few yachts would be making the crossing at this time of the year.
I'm guessing you have already paid for shipping and airfares, getting refunds, extra visas ect will be real a pain in the arse! I would just stick with it, we all know how unreliable and time consuming dealing with Toll can be.
Thierry from HU is here staying with me also waiting to collect his bike from Dili and Toll, his ship arrived on Saturday, it's now Wednesday and they still have not unloaded his bike !!!!
Enjoy your time there, it's far, far cheaper than here ;-)

How it's possible? If the ship arrived at 1st April in Darwin when it left Dili? I was staying there from 19th of March and no vessels called at Dili on the way to Darwin. Anyway how it's going now? Did you call them? Maybe some pushing needs? 3 w days should be enough to get the bike after arriving.

G'day Alex, all is good here thanks,
Be aware that anything is possible when Toll is concerned! Thierry will collect his bike today, that's 6 days after arrival in Darwin! I have spoken to Toll many times, not 1 returned call and I still have no definite answer on the arrival of the Katherine Bay!

OK, 6 days doesn't mean 6 weeks)) So according to 1st April updated schedule from TOLL (I've got it on Tuesday 1st of April) Kathryn Bay should be now on the way to Dili to pick up my bike and then ship it directly to Darwin at best. They shouldn't suddenly change their minds and skip Dili again if the vessel is already on the way to. I don't know guys how to concern Toll. My lading takes less than 1/4 of 20 feet container. It's not like a tons of wood or coffee)

It's got nothing to do with how much space your will take and a lot can happen in 4 or 5 days! If Toll cant make a profit out of going to or from Dili they don't go, simple as that. They don't care or call to let you know how long you or anyone else waits or how much it will cost you! When they have enough freight to turn a profit you might get your shipment on the Barge unless someone else paid more for freight then you may well get bumped, wait even longer and without notice, simply facts my friend ;-)

Finally done! On 22 of April 40 days later that's not bad I've got my bike in Darwin. Total cost is 600$+170AUD+140AUD approx 900$. Just to know the distance is 500 miles approx...by sea.
Enormous thanks to Dave! Unfortunately he has felt sick of pneumonia but getting better. Tomorrow I'm going to leave Darwin and make it along Savannah way...still flooding between Borroloola and QNS border.
Resume: Think twice before going to Dili if you still have a chance to ship it from Singapore.
