Not anymore in the UK. While the OP is a Pakistani national so not directly relevant I thought I would just add that the RAC has now withdrawn the bank guarantee option for carnets. So now basically 2 options for those seeking a carnet in the UK, either the insurance indemnity or refundable deposit (up to max. £10,000).

Hi!
do anybody knows how long can a foreigner leave a vehicle in Iran, Turkey or Pakistan?
I am traveling solo by motorbike and doing 4 weeks every year. My bike is currently in Russia, but I am planing to move toward central asia and I need to plan my itinerary in order to be able to leave it in a country where I can ideally leave it for 12 months. In the worse case 6 months would also be an option.
Thanks in advance for your help!

What's happening with this?
Iran: 90 days with a carnet (make sure you ask for the full allowance) - they will write the expiry date (in Persian, and in the Persian calendar) on the back of the carnet page. Without a carnet you get much less.
Pakistan: 90 days but I have easily extended beyond this, up to 180 I think just by walking into the customs and revenue office.
Turkey: Last time I drove into Turkey (2015) they made a separate customs stamp in my passport for my car and it was valid for 5 months. Not sure if this is extendable.
You could always try putting the vehicle in a bonded customs yard, I think this would be OK in Pakistan as the authorities there are very helpful and speak English.
I also think Georgia is pretty lax on vehicles; you could just leave it there. Plus unlike Pakistan and Iran you won't need to worry about getting another visa in order to get your bike back.
Good luck in Barnaul

Thanks! That sound interesting. If I organize myself good enough I could do it in 2 steps, and leave it in Iran for a few month and then drive to Georgia to store it for a longer period of time (1year).
Thanks for your precious advices!
Yeah about my bike, I found a guy in Bishkek that will get it out of Russia and transport it to Bishkek. I cross my fingers, but he is confident it will work.
Cheers

Turkey - Iran Border Crossing
Gurbulak - Bazargan border
I’m presently driving through Iran. I crossed into Iran from Turkey side and stayed overnight at Dogubeyazit and then drove 30 km to the Gurbulak - Bazargan border on 15th August with my New Zealand registered Toyota Landcruiser V8 Diesel with the help of Mr Hossein Ravanyar from Iran Overland (the old Hossein) He is mentioned in Iran Lonely Planet book and he was very good in arranging all the required paperwork carnet & Insurance to enter. Its strongly recommended to arrive early at the border gate 6am as there are lots of buses that start arriving full of passengers.
Iran is an amazing place to visit with lots to see and do and the people are so friendly towards tourists.
Only advice is to plan your fuel stops well if you have a Diesel engine as they have a crazy law that you have to have a fuel card to buy Diesel but the local truck drivers are helpful to use their fuel card so you need to give them a small tip. Not all fuel stations sell diesel but if you look on the iOverlander app it shows fuel stops that sell diesel.
