Border turkey/iran
as i know there is only one border open where you can cross with your vehicle.
border of entry should be: Basargan
border of leaving, if you continue to Pakistan: Mirjave
ride save,
Michael

Turkish border gates with Iran.
From north to South.
All visited by our club members in last 3 months...
1-Gürbulak (Ağrı) Best for İstanbul-Iran trips.
2-Kapıköy (Van) more close to Bandarabbas and Dubai to get a ferry.
3-Esendere (Hakkâri) best if you are coming from TR. Med.coast line and going to Dubai or South Iran..
Wish you all the best
zeki.

Would not recommend the big border crossing that is close to Mt Ararat. Had horrible experience, as did everyone I have spoken to who used that border, last oct.
Travellers who used the other borders reported no trouble.
Good luck

I,m still waiting for my visa reg. no. I applied on 10th. july.........
I,ve opted to pick it up in istanbul.
If i do get refused, theres always the option of the hamilton highway in Kurd. iraq. and of course Turkeys a great place to travel in as well.
Hi dicky , i,m afraid i,ll be taking my little bm, the xt s had a hard time, some of the wiring terminals are badly corrded and it cuts out in heavy rain, not that i,m expecting any of course.
