Africa Twin 750 for South america
I juut returned from a trip in South America and I, as well as my friend, were both there with a Honda Africa Twin. We did not really have big problems. The only thing we had, that we both had to change the wheel bearings of the back wheel. The first bike`s bearing in Chile near San Pedro de Atacama (we found a store called SKF which supplied us with the bearing and a mechanic helped us mounting it in Calama) and the other bike^s bearing we could change in Arequipa very easely at Tecnimotos.
Eventhough we passed over 5000m passes in Bolivia we did not need to change anything on the bike and it worked everywhere very well. The only thing was, that it might has a higher need of fuel, but the other good thing is, that you will find a mechanic everywhere which will be able to help you with your bike, since it has an easy technique (not as all the new BMW with a lot of electronics.
In the end I can just recommend that bike 8even if it is not the latest Enduromachine and a bit heavier than others.
