Unless the link is recent, I followed all the links and never found a manual to match the '80's XT600 US model. I finally found a paper manual on eBay. I may get around to copying it into a PDF, that will take some time to do.... If anyone needs a page or two on a particular subject, I can copy those and send right away. Most of the manual is not that much help, but pictures and descriptions of certain things are. The decel valve description is great in how it operates.

Finally got it back together
Well as the title says it finally got her running. Turns out it was the Cdi! So thanks again Steve for hooking me up! As I stated before I bought the bike non running and hadn't ridden it yet until tonight. I froze my freakin balls off but it runs great, i still need to dial in the carb but its way to cold for that tonight,!
Now for the million dollar question! What are you guys doing to upgrade the shitty suspension? It's way to soft from what I can tell, any luck with progressive springs and spacers up front? I know the back is big $, unless there is a shock from a late model bike that bolts up! Or better yet one of you guys have an ohlin or a wilber you want to part with cheap! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks again for everyone's help!

Careful checking of everything else really eliminates all the factors except the CDI. Happy it is running well.

Advice please?
Well in my earlier post most of you know I got my bike finally running. It runs well but, Im blowing thought the clutch. So after a little research and reading on the raptor 660 forum I went with the full tusk kit With the heavy duty springs. It was half as much as any other brands with good reviews and most everyone is happy with it. Time will tell, if not I'm not out much money and will put in a Barnett or another name brand option if not stock!
Anyway, I noticed on my front wheel some of the spokes are loose and it needs trued. Fortunately it has new tires front and back, Unfortunatly!! The guy I bought it from parked it in his garage in front of the window so both are cracked on one side! So both need replaced!
My question is which tires do you recommend for 50/50 road and trail use, and on the inexpensive side as I have already dumped alot in this bike already. Name, size, price and cheapest place to buy??? Thanks in advance! By the way, I'm located in the US, so please no European suppliers.
