Question 2KF gearbox

Hello,

I am reassembling the gearbox of my XT600 2KF-model, after replacement of 5th gear (was badly pitted).
Does anyone know if there is a circlip between the pinion of the 2nd gear and the bearing on the secondary (outgoing) axis on the outgoing side.
The handbook I have is on a 34L model and does not show a circlip but for the 2KF there is a groove on that place that could for a circlip.

Thanks for any answers.

Best regards

Guy

I can't help you right now but I have a spare gearbox that I can split tomorrow, if you need any more gearbox parts let me know.

Tony,

I am not looking for parts. I just reassembled a 2KF motor and there is about 0.5 mm axial play on the outgoing axis. I wonder if this is too much and if I have forgotten a part during the assembly of the secondary axis of the gearbox.
I though it might be a circlip on the location I discribed is my first mail. Ther seems to be a groove in the secondary axis between the bearing and the pinion of the second gear.

Thanks for your reaction.

Best regards

Guy
