For sale is my 1988 Yamaha Tenere 3AJ. It was imported from Italy in June 2005, where it had only done 24,610km and had a new o ring chain and sprockets fitted when I bought it.

The bike now has 27,733 km / 17,170miles on the clock. I recently took the bike on a 1500 mile tour in Europe and the bike ran amazingly, with no problems at all.

Before I went on the trip I added a larger Ermax screen, fitted Hepco and becker pannier frames, with aluminium panniers (these aren't hepco - but another German manufacturer) and it has a touratech 12v adapter socket. The bike was fully serviced, with a new rear inner tube fitted. Included is the tank bag. The bike is all ready for an overland trip.

Considering this bike is from 1988 it is in amazing condition and was clearly well looked after by the previous Italian owner - noticeable in the condition and very low mileage. The bike always starts first time on the electric ignition - it doesn't have a kick start fitted - but this could be easily fitted. There are a few tiny scratches on the paint work and a small crack on the front mudguard. I have the original Italian paper work and all the relevant UK paperwork including the dating document, reg plate etc. It is taxed to 06/07. The MOT is due on the 22nd July 06- but I will get it MOT'd before the sale.
