It was Kevin Graham Butler (KGB) or Lowrider1263 (on here) who used to post on the Tenere forum, he briefly posted on here as well, he had half a dozen racks made & sold them all & then decided to sell all his Tenere stuff & quit the forums.
Somebody should look at getting a batch made, they are pretty simple things to make.
And there is no point putting out a post asking if people are interested (yawn) just go ahead & make some (fifty or so) they will sell eventually, if i had a workshop i would be making them myself, along with pannier racks & centre stands.
You could try Riky Cross Racing, he used to make them & worth asking if he still does them?

Thanks chaps..
I'm on the Tenere forum, but joined here in the hope of one being in the UK.
Id seen racks advertised from years ago and was just chucking the question out there. Ricky is still doing them for 90 euros but shipping is 50 euros..
If I had a plan I'd look into getting a batch made...
Thanks again..

indeed, 50 euros shipping italy- UK is steep....
not sure you'd get a batch sold that easily, if no one else (even with a workshop) is making them, demand must be really low and with the negative impact on steering, front racks where never very popular anyway.. I know I would NOT want one
would try adapting something from a more current model, DR650 is still quite popular in USA or another adventure bike
there are some guys in eastern europe, i think ukraine, making stuff, low labour rates...cant remember name
even this one could work, though youll end paying the same as the rocky....

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
