Looking for an early 2000s XT600E Clutch Cover
Hello Yammy Community,
I'm looking for someone who is willing to sell a clutch cover for a 2004-2006 Yamaha XT600E and send to Mexico City.
eBay or other means works for me
Drop me a line
Thanks!

maybe tell us the story of this bike? something doesnt make sense...
from the pictures the it looks like this crashed bike has been out there for ages, no hint of oil in the clutch or filter area, thats odd. likely that water entered the engine too.
and all that front end damage, how are you fixing all that?
is the frame even straight?
I do have a clutch cover, but I want to understand first what going on here.... doesnt smell good

I thank everyone for their reply,
As requested, a brief story on why and how my bike came to be in that condition:
A year ago I got slammed by a semi truck that drove on my side of the road. I wasn't able to avoid it so there's that.
A series of surgeries later and months of therapy after I'm finally able to take on restoring my XT. The insurance company has kept my motorcycle under consignment looking to pay me off, but I'm really attached to that bike.
Sadly they keep my motorcycle as many others out in the open...
At a first glance, there seems to be enough damage to consider it totaled but looking at it up close it's not a s bad as one might think.
I came across an abandoned early 90's XT600 where I'm planning to salvage the front end, wheel, and several other bits. But I'm still missing the clutch cover and headers.
Yamaha says they don't have the headers listed any more, and the clutch cover takes 3 to 4 months to ship to Mexico.
So that is my main reason asking this group for help
Finally, I have come to learn that 90's and early 2000' XT's aren't that popular here in Mexico, which has made finding parts a lot harder that other japanese thumpers.
At any rate, I appreciate the fact there is an XT600 Community out there to share experiences and give support.
Cheers to all!

I have headers, but shipping will cost a fortune.. All headers from 90 will fit, was only protection plate that is different. If you cant find buy aftermarked stainless they look great forever

Sorry to hear and see, if its any encouragement, i broke on the street my tibia and perone, needed a fixing plate too.
1 year later, plate removed, i was back to road racing in the italian vintage championship.
besides the cover, the main problem i see is that if the bike was kept on its side like in your first picture, rain water have entered the engine throuogh the broken cover and oil filter. you will have to open the engine to check how the parts are. im almost certain that if you take out the engine drain plug, you will see water coming out. of course hope that is not the case, but if it is, really doubt its worth fixing.
the other thing i wrote you is that with such impact the frame is likely not straight. there i sno way of knowing that until you put it on a jig to check.
do 1+1, as much as you like the bike, might make a lot more sense getting the money from insurance and buying another XT to ride instead of trying fixing a non fixable bike.

I am being told the bike is perfectly repairable
I'm purchasing an old 90's XT600 which will serve as the donor for the most part. It has a clutch plate but it's a different design altogether... pitty
No headers either :/
I already got a quote for stainless exhaust, all I'm missing now is the clutch cover.
XTRock was kind enough to point me to motorparts-online.com.
Sent them an email for an existing clutch cover but still haven't heard back from them. Anyone else done dealings with the above-mentioned site?
turboguzzi, glad to hear you were able to get back at it. That's really my goal as well. I have an old XR600R but I'm not healthy enough to kick-start the beast yet. On top of that, it will be needing new piston kit and valves soon enough.
XTRock, would you consider asking for a shipping quote, just to see what comes back?
Just in case you feel compelled My Zip is 02060 (Mexico City)
Again, Thanks to everyone who has pitched in with their comments and knowledge

i see, the other engine you found is older and has the clutch mechanism on the other side, so cover wont work
but those guys do seem to have your cover
https://www.motorparts-online.com/en...side/201610376
not sure who told you its fixable and what are their standards to "fixing" different people have different ideas...
at the very least, fit the other fork to your bike and see if the wheels are parallel. if they are not, maybe youll find in mexico someone to straighten your frame, not many people still doing that... even here in northern italy there is only one shop that still fixes frames. just from the pics bike looks bent... other things to check is that there are no signs of bending near the frame steering neck and that the steering bearings seats are not oval. last, the bending could be also straight towards the bike, so besides wheels being parrallel, measure the front to back distance too
you seem set on fixing it, so i will not try to convince you otherwise

Muchas gracias turboguzzi,
I see your point, so many factors to consider...
You are also right in thinking there are still people in Mexico that straighten frames for a living. Also building exhaust pipes for that matter. They are slowly disappearing but you can still find these "mechanical-artisans", if you can call them that.
Again, right on questioning the meaning of "standard"
I've had several "serious accidents" out in the dirt and all, except one time, I've had my motorcycle brought back to life
I take it you extend credibility and a thumbs up to motorparts-online.com
I'm hoping I get a reply soon
All in all, Thanks again to the entire community!!!

XTRock,
thanks for that quote...
So besides those 50 for shipping costs, what would be your asking price for the Clutch Cover and the Headers?

It will take me a while to find the cover and shipping from Italy is usually expensive, strongly suggest you buy that part from the link...
If I find time to search my spares stash will let you know

I get it Turboguzzi,
if it's too much of a hassle don't bother good friend.
motorparts-online didn't even care to explain why the won't ship to Mex.
It seems there's a conspiracy against Mexico, lol
Anyway, thanks for the support and goodwill
