tires? depends as they say. what will you do most? touring? commuting rain or shine? some off road too? my track only 600 supermoto wears semi slick pirelli supercorsas... for instance.
if you are disappointed about the difference 1T makes on the rear, then add 1T to the front sprocket

Sorry for the delayed response.First of all, everybody I ask about oil they answer the same thing, that whatever I put inside that thing it will run for ages.So that's done,I'm gonna put a known brand oil and I think I'll be ok.About the tyres,my riding is 99% on the road as I said, that's commuting, short getaways and longer getaways(haven't gone longer than 250km with my other bike though, cause it was a smaller one but plan to).I only have my bike as means of transport,no car,so rain, shine, cold, hot I ride.I had Michelin Pilot Street's on my cbf and I was in love with them,so I'll consider them for my xt too.And lastly, wouldn't the 1t+ be too much? I've heard it loses all its spark with such a big change(1t front=3t back right?)
Thanks for the response dude.

Changing sprockets is pretty cheap, so give it a go.
I change mine from 14-47 to 16-45 and a lot in between, depending on the intended use. Having said that, stock is pretty good for the street.
But take the bike for a spin first, no point in changing stuff, if it works for you as it sits right now.

I'm pretty sure my headers aren't aftermarket.
Asked my mechanic if I should invest on some headers and a k&n filter and he told me that on a stock xt it's not worth it.I'd have to invest somewhere around 200-300 euros for those 2 things and I just can't justify the purchase.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
