Nice XT600E ready for RTW. For Sale in Scotland.
Thought some of you may be interested in learning about this (exceptional looking from the pics) bike which appears still up for sale at the moment -
Yamaha XT600 - 2002 bike - T&T in Fife | Motorbikes & Scooters for Sale | Gumtree.com
A very pretty XT6E looks ready for a hard-core RTW?
The long-range Acerbis tank is a plus point.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to find low mileage XT's in this kind of condition in the UK.
The only worrying thing I can see is that the seller thinks the bike is 59 9cc.
I reckon this bike warrants a closer look by anyone seeking to get a good XT600E and then join our exclusive XT club. lol.
£2,000 will get you a lot of bike. But this confirms my view on another thread that XT prices are on the up. Last year you could find bikes like this one going for £1,600 or so.

For what it's worth to anyone I had a look at this bike, in an effort to be unbiased here's some thoughts:
- seller is a genuine bloke! great guy
- starts and idles just fine
- 'feels' like a bike thats done 7000 odd miles, MOT's to back up mileage
- no service history
- front spokes are great condition, rears one have a bit of brown spots coming through
- white stress marks all over plastics, from bending
- rims have signs of light corrosion
- inner side of swingarm has surface corrosion
- frame and brackets have surface corrosion
In the end I walked and held out for a 660, as for the price there was (what I consider to be) a good bit of work preventative work that needed to be done and I'm not really looking for a project right now.

Hi guys, its my bike. Just signed up to the forum. The preventative maintenance was completed on the swingarm, the light surface rust took about an hour to deal with and the frame has been mostly dine already. The bike is still up for sale but am thinking of lowering it and keeping it, cant decide.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
