overland exhaust pipes
im curious to see what other people think is the best option for exhaust pipes when it comes to serious overland touring.
i would like to see what pipes other people are using ie laser, remus or the standard pipe.
this subject has many mixed opinions for many differnet reasons. i have the laser produro race can but ive been told its no good for long touring due to the burn out of valve seats...thanks ...phil.

Hi futronix,
I am using Arrow PD Replica for a long time and had no problems at all; can is stainless steel and you can play game with loud of sound by changing perforated plate or you can remove it if like more sound :-) Exhaust offers you a bit more power on low and midd range and is lighter 5 kg than original. It costs equal 280 EUR here in Croatia.
What about oil consumption of your bike after replacing valve stam seals?
Regards,
AnteK

In my experience, the Arrow is the best pipe for the XT - I had one and would wholeheartedly recommend it.

I too am looking for a new exhaust for my bike (1986 1VJ) and am looking for some information regarding the best exhaust for this bike. I plan on riding through Africa so reliabilty and fuel consumption is a huge factor when choosing an exhaust.
Look forward to any information offered.
Thanks
