this part is the relais which connects the starter directly to the battery when you push the starter knob.
maybe the only problem is that the battery is discharged, so first charge the battery or connect the bike to a 12 V car battery to check everything.
if the relais is faulty you have to change it.
principally you can use any 12 v relais which is able to switch the amps.
the starter motor has 800 W, so you need a relais which can switch 800 W / 12 V = 67 A.
if you can manage to connect the cables it should be possible to use starter relais from other bikes (or even from a car engine), not only yamaha.
to check the starter, connect directly to the battery (or other 12 V-source, e.g. car battery). it should turn then.
