They come in asymmetrical (in which case you can have a narrower pannier on the muffler side and a wider one on the sprocket side), and can be had with an extra inner fitting for a Rotopax or toolbox.

I want to buy a T7 too and I read a lot positive comments about the durability of Motortek pannier recks. As I am not really satisfied with the fuel range of the T7, I am looking for a solution to carry additional 10L. I will use soft lugguage and I like the idea of a Rotopax fixed to Mototek rack.
Do you know or maybe can somebody else pls tell me which size in liters a Rotopax keep at maximum with the Motortek?

When do you need the extra range? Will you be able to wait for something like the acerbis 23l replacement tank? it weighs 1.3kg less than the original set up. It should be available in the coming months.
There is also some news that T7rally have 3 tanks in the works, replacement main tank, under seat tank, and rear tank. If you cannot afford to wait there is always the option of getting the camel tank that is an extra 5l.
But if you want something that is removable there is also the option of getting the giant loop fuel bladders so you don't need to have a rack to secure the rotopax.

Given a range of little plus of 300km (depending how and where you) ride can be from my experience sometimes a little less. I know I can pack jerrycans or similar things I find on the way but I simply don`t like this. And it is not my game to have a fuel up 5L waterbottle on the bike while its starting to boil due to temperatures.
By pandemic and an still unknown date of start I have no problem to wait for the acerbis tank. Btw I did not know that they were working on one. Looks ergonomically good, weight difference is nice. Final question will be how top heavy weight will a full tank will affect the bikes handling?
Acerbis touched my interests, so I will wait till testings are documentated.

23l and an average fuel consumption of 4.5l/100km should result in 500km range.
I have no idea about how it will affect handling. The tank is an extra 7l of fuel, which totals 5kg. Once you subtract the weight savings the total increase is 3.7kg with a full tank. To get an idea of the change in center of mass it will be necessary to determine where the fuel gains have been achieved. I get the impression it is mostly wider as it replaces the side plastics. I really hope the image is real and that it will come to market reasonably priced. T7rally have been teasing their solution for over a year and still no pictures. There were also spy shots of a long range version of the tenere 700 being tested by Yamaha. You can see that the fuel tanks extends down the sides. Not sure when that will be released.

Does my butt look big in this...
So after much prevarication I decided on the touratech racks with the old Darrs boxes. I bought a set of mounts from Motea and they work very well. Fortunately they centre up within 2mm of dead centre.

That's the advantage of having asymmetric bags when your racks themselves are asymmetric. That's why I use Kriega's OS-22 and OS-32 bags.

I’m seriously looking at getting a T7 and am really impressed with Lone Rider bags - all the advantages of hard cases in a semi soft bag:

I have now got my hands on a set of Tush soft pannier which attach very well with the Touratech racks.
They are a great fit and spacious. The outer bags are only water resistant but they came with waterproof inner bags.
