Hmmm. Really, really want to help, but haven't got a clue what you're talking about?
Do you mean the red bits, that go round the white bit in the middle? (That is, if you're talking about a red & white model.. not the blue, obviously)
If so - I'm assuming its only for cosmetic purposes? Else you can pretty much fit any enduro/off road mud guard?
Also - the 34L (1983) also had a wrap around bit on the mud guard.
Not sure how important it is to be purist and have the original - but maybe you can fabricate your own - since the red bit is riveted on, would you not be able to cut the middle bit out of a complete red fender, and fit it around the existing white bit?
Maybe a bit too Blue Peter... but can't help thinking of the fun playing with a rivet gun & lots of plastic!!

Hi... Xt Girl
Thanks for the reply.
Its the red bit on the outside of the white guard that we're asking about. Their just not available anywhere over here. we're looking for the original or aftermarket item. It's got to look original. Ive read your profile, you own the same model. your heaps cool xt girl.
Thanks again for the reply.

Have you tried doing a 'Worldwide' search on ebay???
There are lots of XT bits in Europe - you just need to look in the right places.
Plastics are getting more and more rare but they are out there!!!
Don't give up mate

Teny bits
Hi Tom
We're always surfing Ebay Europe for parts. There are more early Teneres there than anywhere. (so lucky) Most of the bikes we got over here have been ridden into the ground many times over. You'd be lucky to find much in any wrecking yard (rare) and if you did there's not much left on them that isn't trashed and totally worn out.
I just thought you guys may of known if aftermarket plastics were available.
Thanks for the reply Tom we'll keep on looking.
Cheers

Acerbis made a piece that fits around the front mudguard just like the 1VJ model.
I would think this is also hard to find as it is old stock.
I got mine at an auto jumble may be able to get another but not untill January.
Have alook for some classic trail bike sites you may find some thing.
