TT600R - Fork overhaul

Hello forum!

New member here, and I am looking forward to read through many usefull threads!

I am looking for an overhaul kit for the fork on my 1999 Yamaha TT600R Belgarda. Wipers, seals bushings etc. The bike is th one with just a kick start, no cush drive, no battery etc.

The fork is supposedly to be an 46mm Paioli "right side up" fork.
Any help here would be greatfully appreciated. The bushings for this fork seems to be unobtainium...
I can get a hold of the OEM ones, but they are about €75 euro each(!!!). I suppose there will be a bike using the same fork somewhere, with parts more reasonable priced...

hi and welcome , have a look at kedo.de for parts and look at tt600r.de has great information ,you can down load a user manual and there is a detailed report with pictures on changing fork seals while you are doing the front end I would advise you to clean and regrease the rear shock linkage if youve not done it it probably hasn't been done since it left the works, a great bike enjoy, hope this helps, steve

Hi, and thanks for your response.

I am aware of kedo.de. The problem is, they do not sell the bushings needed for the fork overhaul. A bit of googling has given me the suspicion that the Honda XR650R almost has an identical fork. So i ended up with buying an overhaul kit for that fork, + the oil seals and dust wipers for the TTR.

I Will get back on the forum to tell how this worked out when I finally get time to tear down the front end.

Also a thanks to forum member "Linzi" who sent me a couple of tech. tips on PM. I would have replied via PM, but my low post score will not allow me sending PM's yet.

Update people!

The fork overhaul kit for the Honda XR650R does fit the TT600R.
Saved me a whole lot of money! New seals, bushings etc. mounted.
Also mounted rubber gaitor. Hoping to extend the lifetime of the seals.
