TTR 600 Long Range Tank??
I've been away a while but have recently managed to get my hands on a newish (2003/4?) TTR600 (paperwork permiting) and I'm wondering if anyone makes a long range tank for it. Previously I've had an XT600E with an Acerbis 23 ltr and I'm wondering if the frames are similar enough for that to fit the TT. I no longer own the XT so I have nothing to compare with.
Cheers for any advice.
George

Hi George.
Acerbis do make one for the TT600R as one of my friends has one on his.I don't know if the XT tank would fit,but seem to remember a thread on this a while ago.I'm not sure but i have a feeling that Clarke do them also(i'll check with the suppliers if you like as i have an account).I would'nt think there's any difference between the R and the E models, what is yours?
Jon

XT and TT have different fittings. Bert Hawkings Racing supplied mine, within a few days. About £250 for a 20 lt tank.

Thanks for the advice. I will be checking out both of the above. I'm slightly on hold until the paperwork arrives here in Dubai but then it will be full steam ahead. It's amazing the amount of knowledge and help available - especially on these boards.
Cheers

Thanks again; the tanks look a little out of my price range but the racks look classy. Where do you guys find this stuff?

" its just out there on the air waves.. just waiting to be grabbed..."
also have a about 6 hours a day at work at the moment with only the web to search... and as there is no hot mail / limited search options, one starts to go deep for stuff... ie: trying to find all the stuff i might put on a bike.. each week start to do it for another option... ttr600 / dr650 / ttr250 /.. and on it goes.. much easier to have a mission each week...
