Upgrading footpegs

Hi everyone - hoping some of your knowledge can help me out.

I have a set of IMS pegs on my Africa Twin which are very comfortable, so I'd like to put a set of bigger pegs on my 1989 XT600Z 3AJ.

Problem is, I can't find anyone who offers bigger pegs for my XT - can anyone recommend any?

I'm sure there must be interchangeable ones from other Yamaha models, but I don't know which ones.

I know IMS, Fastway, Moose, etc do bigger pegs but don't list the XT as a fitment.

Can anyone help with recommendations?

Get a welder [ or perhaps yourself ] to bend some flat bar around your existing pegs ,weld it and then put some notches in it with a grinder .
Extremely simple and cheap to do .

Does anyone know if footpegs for the Yamaha YZ or WR will fit a 2003 XT as there seem to be much more choice with those bikes?
