I would advise draining all your oil and starting again !!
You don't need to replace the oil btw !! Just drain it into a clean pan and see how much comes out (buy a large measuring jug).
What's the oil capacity ??? How much did you put in ??
If the book says 2.5l (for example), put 2L in then check the level using the book procedure. Top up a bit at a time until it's correct..
On my XT600, there was a bleed screw above the oil filter cap.. Is there one on the 660 ??
Also, check your air filter too. The engine can also overflow into there too from the crankcase breather.
