XT600E bash plate from CRD

Dear all,

I'm new here and like to travel from Europe to Capetown one day. Reason enough to start preparing my bike
I search a engine protection / bash plate from "CRD" but can't find it in any shop, either as used part.
My XT600E was build in '90.

Can anybody help me? Where can I get it? Alternative I also could make it by myself if i had a template from a bash plate on paper, but I did not find anybody doing this before...

thx,
regards Timo

I have a plate like this 85 1985 XT 600 XT600 Skid Plate Motor Guard | eBay

It was bolt on outside the original guard, maybe there is some difference from 85 to 90mod, looks similar to me. If you want me to compare ill do it, just have to find the plate.

Hello xtrock,

thanks for your offer, but I really search exactly that one from CRD on the picture.
(Even don't think that the bash plate from '80 fits on the '90 bikes)

Here you have some good pictures if you want to make one, i see now that it doesnt protect more than the old plate on the side of engine.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
