You wont gain much, you can make it more "Rideable" but as i said, that can be done mithout significant costs.
I know this is a cliché, but if you want more, sell it and buy a stronger one.
I love my xt, it cant wheelie in 3rd like my buddy's on their xr600r and ktm 640 enduro, but mine works everytime. I just got over 77777km and the bike is still going strong. The ktm had the motor replaced at 12.000km.
Their bikes have more horses, and weigh much less. My xt600e weighs 180kg ready to ride. I think the XR is 50kg under that.
