XT600E Heavy Duty clutch kit
Hi all!
I'm looking at a new complete clutch kit for my 1990 XT600E!
I've found a few makes but I'm unsure on which to get....
There are Tusk, Vito's, Driveline, Sumo Brakes, EBC and Barnette!
I'm thinking of going to Tusk or EBC....
Has anyone got any experience with any of these clutch kit makes?

The best will be genuine Yamaha...
The rest are going to be much of a muchness !
I've used EBC clutch plates ad springs in the past and had zero problems !
Just make sure you soak the new plates in oil overnight to prevent early wear.

Even before I had my engine fitted with a new cam chain and intake valves, when riding under hard acceleration and fast shifting I noticed that once in a while after fast shifting gears it would fall back...
example: 3rd to 4th it would go back to 3rd...
one other time, I was also pushing hard and I changed either from 3 to 4 or from 4 to 5th (don't remember) and the engine got "loose"..meaning..it wasn't engaged!
so yeah, I think this clutch has done it's job and I'll be getting probably a TUSK or EBC clutch kit...
Tusk is around 52-65 USD and EBC is about 70-80 USD...
I am thinking of getting the Tusk kit not for the price but for the reviews I've read about them in 01-05 Raptor 660 (yes, they have the same clutch kit! lol)
pratically same engine.....

The jumping out of gear issue is not directly related to the clutch. Its a "selector" problem or maybe the actual gear "dogs" are damaged (rounded off) !!!

might be the shifter.. I crashed hard once and I think it might have bent it just a tiny bit...
the inside is in mint condition, I had it checked when I had to replace cam chain and intake valves because I was looking if there was any gear damage (5th gear problem).
Everything was fine!
