north of chile
hi mate, the bike was fine, in the deasert we could cruise at 110 to 125 in 5th, but some sections the cross winds got pretty feirce so the speed dropped to 50 - 60 in errr. 3 or 4th gear i think..
generally she's a goer the only time it felt weak would be at 4900m odd on bolivian llama piss, ahem, fuel. even then she was the fastest thing on the road!

Thanks for that!!!!!, i've got th same equipment as you, but i'm doing at that speed barely 17 km/lt, the bike runs fine and it is a 98'xt 3tb model, with just 50k on the clock ,thanks again , i guess, if i going faster, like 120 as you were, i'll get a better fuel mileage

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
