XTZ 660 red zone limit.
Hi, everybody!
Is any rotation limiter in ignition block?
My XTZ 660 is 3YF, 37K on odometer, Laser ProDuro equipped. Engine starts ease with choke. Reasonable dynamic on road. Max speed about 130 Km/h. Spark plug color is coffee + milk. Idle good on 1.3K. On neutral RPM never come to red zone ( about 7K) ever w/o air filter. While engine braking some silent claps appears. Does anybody have some idea?

Membrane in secondary carb checked, it is OK.
Consuption in city is about 8 liter per 100 km. It seems like I've visit DynoJet dynamometer. I'll inform all about results.

Laser Produro is no good for big singles. Throw it away or sell it to a twin.
Consumption should not be more than 5 l. otherwise check air filter or adjust the carbs. Is the cam chain timing ok?
My 660 does 175 km/h.

Did you fit the Lazer and if so,was it like that before with the standard exhaust? Also,a friend recently had a similar problem with a Honda Dominator, and the cause was the air intake on top of the air filter housing(the rubber bit right at the very top),was being squashed by the seat when he fitted an extra seat cover.Simple cause but took a while to find it!
