Shipments done by Travellers
The HU Shipping Database!
From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.
For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.
If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:
Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.
Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!
NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.
Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.
Shipment: From Baltimore, USA to Bremerhaven, Germany - September, 2021
This was the cheapest and fastest RORO service I found from US to Europe post Covid. About $1200 with all the extra little fees and insurance.
Shipment: From Dubai, UAE to Bremerhaven, Germany - July, 2020

Great service at both ends. I was alowed to oversee the packing and loading of the motor in the container at the warehouse in Dubai. Superb job with building the palette and tying the motor down . Arrived at the receiving end without a scratch and in the original condition. Highly recommend their service.
Shipment: From Los Angeles, United States to Bremerhaven, Germany - September, 2015
Schumacher Cargo Logistics
550 W 135th St, Gardena, CA 90248
Phone: (562) 408-6677
Schumacher Cargo is spezialiced in transport of cars and motorcycles from North America to Europe. I handed over the bike with all the luggage, paid, signed a few documents which were prepared in advance via information gathered by email. The whole procedure was finished in less than half an hour.
I picked up the bike, a KTM 400 Miliitary, at Bremerhaven harbour. The Partner of Schumacher Cargo in Germany is LPL Automotive GmbH, Geo-Plate-Str. 1, 27568 Bremerhaven. That's an adress in the harbour area where they unload the container, which has arrived a few days before in Hamburg.
The bike was placed in a fenced area together with a lot of Harleys and Gold Wings.
The staff of LPL is very professional, friendly and helpful.
I dropped the bike in LA on Sept 28t and picked it up in Bremerhaven on Nov 13
Shipment: From Los Angeles, CA, USA to Heidelberg, Germany - January, 2015
Stefan Knoph runs a tours company, rents bikes, ships bikes from US three times a year. He will receive the bike at both spots, take delivery and store bike until you arrive. He will take care of all paperwork that you need including insurance. He also runs a motorcycle BnB. He ships bike both ways and handles crating. He also sells bikes for customers. Great guy. I just bought a bike from another guy through Stefan. The other guy is shipping another bike over with Stefan.
Shipment: From New York, USA to Bremerhaven, Germany - October, 2014
If I remember right it takes around two weeks. There are weekly boats, but the broker in NY has to fill a whole container and after that the customs have it for at least another day lets say two. If the boat just left, another week comes on top ... . Interfracht will give you all necessary information where and how to bring your bike, it is a little outside in Bayonne, New Jersey, where all the ports are, but actually just half hour ride with no traffic from Manhattan, with traffic 2 hours. (dont forget to bring the document of the broker, which Interfracht send you via e-mail!) Better keep your original registration, it might take time to get it back in Bremerhaven.
Luggage allowed!!! I left a lot on my bike, and could have left even more on the bike. No problems with lost or damaged.
Pick up in Bremerhaven is fairly easy, they do most for you, you just have to ride through the custmos which is quick procedure there. There in the north of Germany you are within a couple of hours in other cities and a couple of days all over Europe.
If it happens that you talk to Britta or Ricarda, please say hello from Thomas the German Rider with his website about the presents. It probably doesnt make it cheaper for any of us the next time, but works for good connections and one or the other favor for us.
Interfracht does also RoRo, for example Japan-USA. See also other post Yokohama - Tacoma USA I did with Interfracht.
