Shipments done by Travellers

The HU Shipping Database!

From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.

For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.

If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:

Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.

Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!

NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.

Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

Cargorider is an exceptionally professional and competent company. Clear and constant communication in English, inexpensive and transparent costs, and well connected throughout Colombia and internationally. Did I mention friendly and supportive? Veronica, their sales manager, treated me like a family member, providing support that went far beyond freight forwarding services, including luggage and bike storage and transportation arrangements in Cartagena and Bogota.

I wish I could recommend the shipping agent I used in the United States to get the bike onboard the Hoegh Masan Autoliner out of Port Everglades, but I can't because of mid-stream price increases, poor communication and inattentiveness. Cargorider picked up their slack and I was riding the bike on the streets of Cartagena two days after the ship unloaded at Puerto Bahia.

They also arrange air shipment of motorcycles; an option I didn't pursue because of the costs and carbon footprint. Cargorider earned my trust. Check with Veronica for any bike transport needs to or from Latin America. If she can't help you directly, she will refer you to someone that can. I am using a Cargorider associate to arrange shipping of my bike from Chile back to the United States later this year.

E Cargo logistics
Teofilo Guerra
t.guerra (at) ecargologistics.com

The Transport was arranged very professional by Teofilo, even if he never shipped a Motorcycle to Europe before. I was picked up at the Cargo Terminal through him punctual, he assisted with the customs paper work in Panama and arranged the final drop of at the KLM Terminal next day.

A bit annoying was that the bike arrived on a Saturday and the Airline KLM refuses to hand over the bike to private Persons. Waiting till Monday caused a delay and additional storage costs of 150USD. After reporting that to Teofilio he already had ideas how to reduce the total costs at destination in future.

I would definitly ship with Teofilio again. The contact was always fast and the bike arrived without any transport damage.

In-Time
Olaf Kleinknecht

Contrary to the advice that air shipping a bike is ultimately cheaper than sea freight, my experience has been quite the opposite.

We recently shipped two bikes from Norwich UK to Santiago Chile via Hamburg  We used a Polish carrier at a cost of Eu 250 each to get the bikes to the freight forwarder called In-Time in Hamburg (they are posted on HUBB) and then another EU 1000 each for consolidated container shipping to Santiago. The bikes left on a specific date, arrived on a specific date and we flew to Santiago to receive them. All port handling/ customs clearance was included in the price and was organised by In-Time's representative in Santiago. We could not have wished for a more stress-free and professional service. I can highly recommend this company. The contacts are Olaf Kleinknecht in Hamburg (+494059359240) and Ronny Tesch in Santiago (+56992250756). Ronnie also handles shipments out of Chile to USA and other European destinations

Hello

Shipping with Daniel though newzealandmotorcycleadventures@gmail.com was the easiest shipping I had ever done, the price listed on their website is the one they stick to.

1650 British pounds for return shipping to New Zealand and Back to London

I was emailed the documents required to ship into NZ ,printed them out , followed the green highlighted example form to which parts I needed to fill out only , then scanned them back.

Was then given the dates when I could ride my clean bike to the depot in Gravesend , London .

Did another clean at a pressure wash yard at a BP station only a few miles from the depot.

Showed up at the depot and dropped my motorcycle off, no more forms to fill out at . Took my panniers and top box off , labelled them , taped up my battery leads and was done.

And then was dropped off at the Gravesend train station.

Done , was so easy

Hi fellow travellers!

After checking out five companies in Bangkok I chose the cheapest and most sympathic one, Sea Fly Services (https://www.seafly-services.com) to send my bike back to Europe. After making an appointment with the two French owners Clement and Francois some days before, I just dropped my bike there and they did the packing, transport to the harbour, coustoms and shipping to Hamburg/Germany for less than 700 $. Excellent work and price!
