4x4 / Overland vehicle meets / shows in Germany or beyond
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on 4x4/overland shows/events in Germany/Holland/France?
There seems to be a big overlanding scene in Germany so I thought they must have a good event to show off all their trucks etc.
Any ideas?
Cheers

I think there is a big one in Germany following on from the Hubb in June. Check it out on 4x4 Overland in the upcoming events section.

Not sure if they are still running Salon du 4x4 à Val d'Isère, this was a very good show with crazy demo drivers taking a wide range of vehicles on some very extreme terrain, its amazing where you can get a Subaru Forester!
For a small fee you used to be able to join the local 4x4 club 'Eagles' and drive your own vehicle all over the ski pistes, it used to be held over the last week of July/first week of August.

there are a few about that are not well advertised in the english speaking press, however I can recommend the Allrad in Bad Kissengen been there a number of times.
If your looking to buy an overland camper there are loads of post trip tucks in the campground.

AllRad Bad Kissengen is really good show, lots of big trucks and campsite definitely worth a look round. Last year was carnage as significant flooding in campsite. Actual show is up on hill above town and you get bus up to it. Few trucks for sale in the campground.

Other cool overland gathering is Willys Treffen near Bad Kreuznach usually at start of Sept. This is a gathering rather than a show. Few hundred overland trucks comes in, few for sale just with sale signs in window but not a commercial show so no vendors as such, just a really nice get together, meet loads of interesting people and can see all sorts of different overland trucks.

I realise you started this thread back January 2014 Ollie, but it still may be relevant.
Can I suggest you look at 4x4 Calendar.co.uk You will find that all non-UK events are listed in orange.
The calendar is totally free to view and to list events, it's basically a resource for everyone who is into our hobby/pastime!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
