Mildura Parking
Hey Guys, after much listening to ARR Raw, and always listening to the comments about the forum and how great everyone is, I've finally managed to join.
I'm prepping for a Simpson Desert ride in June with one other mate, we're planning to trailer to Mildura and ride from there. We'll be gone for probably near 2 weeks.
So as the title says, I'm looking for somewhere in the area that it would be possible to safely park a Ute and trailer for a few weeks.
Our fallback would be the airport, but I thought I'd put out feelers first and see if anyone had suggestions.
Thanks in advance. Very excited, this will easily be my biggest trip to date, and with a personal affilinity for Alpine and Desert regions, I absolutely can't wait ❤️
Cheers
Tim

Any particular reason for choosing Mildura? It's quite a long way from the SImpson. I'd have thought that Marree would be better, from which you can go Birdsville - Mount Dare - back to Marree, or vice versa. If you did this you could ask the Marree Oasis Caravan Park whether you could park while riding the circuit.
Alternatively I bet that you could leave the ute & trailer at Mount Dare, or somewhere in Birdsville.

Yeah we're doing a loop from Mildura up to Maree, Oodnadatta, Mt Dare, hopefully a night at Halligan Bay if we can get in there.
Across to birdsville and back down via Flinders Ranges.
That's the loop the organiser was keen to do, and Mildura is the majority of the tar covered by car, and a good ride.
Thanks for the suggestion though.
