Bike Rental in Delhi

Enfields or Pulsars?
Honda Hero's or Machos?

It's hard to know which bike to rent let alone which place to rent it from when you land in Delhi - so I encourage everyone who has rented or bought bikes from Delhi dealers and rental outfits to share their stories and experiences here for the benefit of all.

There is a thread here that you may also be interested in looking at although the info is a little old...

Cheers all

Another set of information for bike hire in Delhi

Nice one Yamahuh (I do like that name also!).

Here's the other thread that is discussing this subject at present:-

No problem mate, glad to accomodate your request - just hope it generates some more info than I have been getting.

BTW - the 'Yamahuh" comes from owning an old mid 70's 125cc, a 350 cc RDLC, a 1990 FZR 1000, a 2001 R1 and now a 2002 R1 - have had Kawi and Honda and rented a Suzi Bandit to ride BC's sea to Sky Hiway but I'm a Yam man at heart..

Lalli Singh

Go the the Carol Baugh (sp) neighborhood in Delhi and look for Lalli Singh's shop. If your going to rent in Dehli, do it there.

An Aussie guide that has led numerous trips in India uses Lalli and I enjoyed a trip to northern India in 2004. The bikes (500 Bullets) were in good shape and there were no issues what so ever.

Thanks - I've tried contacting Lalli but he doesn't seem to reply to e-mails. Might go and check him out once we arrive but time is also a factor we have 3 weeks exactly to do our trip and don't want to be sepending too much time sourcing bikes and waiting for them to be prepped.

Have been thinking about booking something online from either StoneHead Bikes / BulletWallas / Tony Bullet as they have all been very good at replying to e-mails and requests for information. Have heard that even if you show up at Lalli's shop he might not agree to rent you a bike...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
