new york to canmore canada

I've got a Triumph 900 Rally Pro 2023 model with all the kit for traveling.
I live in London England.
I want to ride from New York to Canmore in Canada around May or June 2025 for two weeks. about 3000 miles taking in the best roads.
I am meeting with family for two weeks afterward to tour in a camper van.
the only issue is that it is a one-way trip and I can't return the bike to New York because I'm frying out of Calgary with my wife.
I can accommodate my bike for all of April 2025.

I’m not very clear on your situation, and I’m not clear what you’re asking, if anything.

Your Triumph is in London? If so, hardly anyone would ship a bike to North America—particularly the USA part of North America—in order to ride it for two weeks. But if that’s what you’re hoping to do, and you don’t mind paying through the nose for those two weeks, by all means have at it. You can air freight or surface ship into New York (the former is preferred or you may find your bike delayed at sea right when you’re planning to use it), and you can do the same out of Calgary. As a rule, Canada is far easier to ship into and out of, and when Air Canada is running their specials it’s not too expensive.

But we’re talking multiple thousands of dollars/quid/euros for a scant 2 week ride. That doesn’t make sense to most people.

If that’s not what you meant, or if you’re looking for some other sort of information, maybe ask for it directly. And sorry, but I don’t know what “I can accommodate my bike” means.

Hope that’s helpful.

Mark

Simple, I have a bike in London England that someone can use for a month in Europe. I have all the gear as well.
I need a cheap hire for two weeks to ride from new york to Canmore in Canada.
I'm trading my bike for one month in Europe for two weeks one way.

"The best roads" means different things to different people.

The shortest route will take you through a lot of straight roads without much change in altitude. If this is your preference then you'll enjoy the trip. If you prefer winding, undulating roads then perhaps take a longer route and travel through Canada, through New York state into Eastern Ontario, then central Ontario (Algonquin PP), Georgian Bay, along the north shore of Lake Superior, then central manitoba and Saskatchewan (Flin Flon, Lloydminster), into Alberta and to Canmore. This would be a little over 3000 miles but would be far more enjoyable, at least they way I travel. You'll also see a lot less traffic for most of the trip.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
