Hello all,
I’m an American traveling with a UK registered 97 Yamaha XJ900s maroon for sale that I purchased last month for traveling around Europe. The bike is in great condition visually and mechanically. Starts every time no problem, runs no problem, pretty consistent at 10mi / liter. I bought it without panniers and added the givi Wing rack and givi hard boxes. It also has engine crash bars and Oxford heated grips. Comes with the original manual and paperwork. Have a V5 from the UK.

The only cons, which I might work on, are squeaky front and rear brake as, and vibrations in the lower rpms. Cruising above 50 is smooth, she held up just fine at 110mph on the autobahn!

I’m not sure how selling will go with a UK bike in Scandinavia. Kinda hoping a Brit wants it and can register back home, then travel with it.

Looking for $2100 (usd) for the bike, boxes, and things mentioned above. It had a new rear tire at 40500, and the bike was serviced and inspected at Cupar Motorcycle in August before buying it. I’ll likely do an oil change after cruising through Norway doing lots of miles.

I am interested....looking for one this summer. I am USA citizen selling my present bike now. Then flying to Euro. Is it possible for us to transfer paperwork? Also am wondering if I can handle that big of bike??

Hey Jon,
This bike shouldn't be too much to handle in my opinion. I rode a ninja 500, triumph tiger 800, and street triple r before buying this bike. It's very well balanced and comfortable for long distances (especially cause you can put you feet on the engine crash bars and kind of recline).
As for transferring paperwork, I have a V-5 from the UK. All you really need is an address you can register the bike at. I can then transfer it to your name, at the chosen address (I had a friend in Scotland let me use their address).

Not sure if this is PM. OK for long distance, but what about town/city riding? How high is seat? Are you bent over riding or upright with torso? Right now don't have address....does it make any difference which country?

It's a neutral position. Seat position is not high. I am 6' 2" with an average inseam and flat foot both feet... I imagine someone even 5'10" would be the same. City cruising was very easy (tough to lane split with the boxes though). Only thing annoying about the city cruising were the squeaky brakes at low speeds.

If you can get an address to register the bike at in the UK, it would be very easy. I'm not sure how to go about registering the bike in other countries. The DVLA makes registering the bike and paying the taxes easy online. You can check the the MOT history (emissions and safety inspections) here: https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history-vehicle. The bike's registration number is R123LGP.

Finally sold my motorbike. Now can focus on one in Euro. How high is seat from ground? I am only 5'9". If I can ride this big bike, I am interested. How can I call you? By skype or other? I don't have unlimited cell.
