Canadian 2018 KLR650 in Punta Arenas Chile (mid December)
Fritz is a 2018 klr650, Canadian regestered, which will likely have 40000km by the time I reach Ushuaia, that said this bike is a strong runner, starts every time and hasn't burned any oil on this entire trip from Canada (currently in Northern Argentina).
I have done a ton of modifications to the bike (about every mod you can to a klr) that would all be included:
- Torsion ring doohickey mod
- Thermobob mod
- 35L Safari tank, translucent
- Dirt racks full body crash bars
- Tusk rear pannier racks and large size panniers (these are a little bent out of shape from me tipping the bike over a couple times over the course of the adventure but they still close and are water tight
- Top gun 8kg rear shock spring
- Race tech upgraded front fork springs
- Oversized front brake rotor for added stopping power
- Steel braided front brake cable
- External fuel mixture screw on the carburator for easy adjustments
- Oversized Tusk foot pegs
- Enduro Racing billet aluminum skid plate
- Low profile magnetic oil drain plug
- Hex key metal oil fill cap
- Center stand with rear suspension linkage protection
- Tall oversized windscreen
- USB outlets/Volt meter
- Oxford heated grips
- Metal hand guards
- Eagle Mike subframe through bolt mod
- Sheep skin upholstered to seat with rain cover
- Front led flood lights with proper relay switch kit installed
- Rox 2" bar risers
- Front fork brace
- Plexiglass front headlight protector
- Inline fuel filter installed
- A host of spare parts that range from fork seals, to water pump water and oil seals, spare clutch and brake levers, spare throttle and choke cables, gaskets for water pump and timing chain tensioner, spare front sprocket and chain (I may install these on the road still), light bulbs, Kawasaki bolt replacement kit, owners manual, shop manual, brake pads, proper sized valve shims for the next time that job is done, among a host of other things I can't recall off the top of my head.
Will reach Ushuaia by mid December, asking 3.5k usd. I also have riding gear available if interested.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
