Selling US plated (Oregon) Moto to Foreigner in Chile HELP
I want to sell my US, Oregon plated bike in Chile to a foreigner who will ride it out on a TVIP. Selling traveler to traveler. I have read so many forums on people going back and forth about legalities and whatnot. I want to do everything legal so all parties can be happy and travel as they please and have the bike in their name. I am assuming I transfer the title via my State and somehow get it mailed down to Chile. And then transfer the TVIP to the forgeiner either in the free trade zone or at an aduana in the city so I can then leave freely and they can have the bike in their name. Too many forums have been arguments of legality, please keep it simple and legal, or contact me if I can get ahold of you for more help.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
