backfiring and stuff
Hey!
I just had my bike serviced by a BMW garage and it ran fine.
Then I went home to fit crash bars on the bike so I had to take the petrol tank off,I marked all the petrol hoses in order to be sure that I refitted them all correctly.
However after replacing it and starting the bike it didn't run too smoothly,I thought that this was due to air being in the hoses and that after a few kilometeres this would stop.
I then drove for about 250 kilometers and the problem stayed,i.e. lots of backfiring and running very badly, especially when driving 0 to 50 miles an hour.
When driving 65+ miles an hour it rarely backfires which makes me think that there's no problem of too little petrol coming through or blockages in a filter.
Has anyone experienced this before or have a clue how this can be solved?
Just taking the tank of and refitting wasn't that difficult and I can't think of anything that could have gone wrong there?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Apart from that the bike is great and is dying to make some more miles!
Cheers,
Frank
