Diesel in R1200GS
I put diesel in my bike. Fortunately did not start the engin. Syphoned out most of it and filled petrol 95. And started the engin. It smoked a bit. Then stopped. Could not restart it. Now recovery has taken the bike for repair. I am worried if have damaged my bike badly. It is going to be a long Sunday night for me.
Experts please tell me what are the worst possible issues I might face.
I have come to Italy. Worried if I will be able to drive the bike back to UK.

I did exactly the same just North of the Forth Bridge with a K100. Only green handled diesel pump, I've ever seen and they suspiciously had a pipe handy so you syphon it out anc buy more.
The K started up and ran, but it was a case of getting every last drop out.
I suspect if you didn't get it all out it stopped when the plugs fouled or the injectors gunked up. Probably not that bad to fix.

As threewheel says probably just fouled the injectors. The diesel is really like an oil so is much thicker.
Good luck.

Apart from gumming up the engine I don't think diesel can damage a petrol engine, trouble starts when you put petrol in a diesel engine.

The Italian garage charged €92.
In UK it will easily cost £200 plus.
