Michelin Desert & F650 Dakar
The local Michelin Office say you cant get Desert in 17" tire size, only 18".
But when I read postings here on HU, I find that a few F650 Dacar owners claims to have used them on the F650 GS Dakar...... and they dont mention a word about chaningig their bakwheel from 17" to 18".
Am I missing something here?

True, but I was told by the local BMW dealer, a 140" will be to wide, and cant be used on the Dakar... right?
So how come some report that they use Desert on the F650 Dakar?

I’ve just put two new Michelin Deserts on my 2002 Dakar this weekend.
Sizes are as shown on the Michelin website - 90/90 21 on the front and 140/80 17 on the rear.
They fit with no problems. No modifications are needed.
