Person to show me how to change front disc, etc..
Hello..I have a BMW R1150GSA, usually serviced by Mark Holden who is very good at his job but the time has come for me to tackle my own repairs!!!
I'd be happy to pay for some mechanical tuition, I think my left hand front brake disc needs replacing along with the pads, I live in Peckham SE London.
Thanks
Peckham

You are fortunate in that you have this place on your doorstep:-
Oval Motorcycle Centre
It's the only such facility that I know of in the UK.

WOW !! What a brilliant idea.....
I had no idea that existed. I reckon they would be popular all over the country.
Every overlander should do such a course before doing a longer trip..

Maybe its' day has come - nearly 40 years ago a work colleague of mine had a similar idea, but it was to be car ramps (maybe back then everyone did their own maintenance on bikes and such a concept would not have worked out) ; I don't think he ever went into that business concept, but it was a good discussion at that time.
"thanks for your help, will be fixing my bike there next week." - It would be good to hear how you get on, and what you think of the Oval facility.

Ended up taking my bike to the Oval and it was a very good experience, honest and informative help. I would recommend it.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
