Power socket on R1200 Adventure?
Can anyone tell me where I can get an adaptor that will fit into this socket, that will allow me to plug in and charge up USB devices (phones, MP3 players etc)? - Thanks ...

Assume you mean the std BMW socket ? I need to do this too.
I don't have adapters for any devices yet, but I have bought a couple of adaptable BMW/cig lighter plugs from here to try and make some:

btw. if ordering from the UK be aware of suffering customs and import duty!
Also we aware that the CANBUS electrical system will tie the use of the socket to the ignition being on and limit current to the socket, although for charging small devices I would guess it would be OK.

Car cigarette lighter to BMW socket convertor sold here ...
NIPPY NORMANS - the No. 1 supplier of BMW motorcycle accessories!
Just bear in mind the current limit to the 1200GS BMW socket (i.e. don't try and run an air-compressor or anything through this as it won't work).
I'm going to install a car style socket on the bike, direct to the battery (via a fuse) - also sold there.

There's a connector specifically for GPS near the headstock on most BMW bikes, see here for pics: GPS accessory socket - giving back - ::. UKGS'er.com .::

HI FLYERBLADE! Interested in what you are saying about installing car style socket on to the bike. Is it possible you could send me instructions on how to do this - imagine it will be quite easy, but I am not the best DIYer in the world, so a "mugs" guide would be appreciated.
